She founded Totally Unique Cakes in 2004, which offers specialty and custom cake designs for birthdays, weddings and special occasions. She is known for “cakes that taste as good as they look!”

As a teenager, Angela got her start in the business as an apprentice for her mother, who is also a Master Cake Decorator. She went from doing small tasks around the shop to decorating her first wedding cake when the shop got really busy. She says, “My mother gave me a bag of frosting and quickly showed me how to do a complicated technique. I thought I was only going to do one tier, but ended up doing the entire cake by myself. From that day on, cake decorating has been a true passion of mine.”

Through mostly word-of-mouth marketing, Angela has been able to create custom cakes for many events all over Atlanta and surrounding areas. She has delivered her designs as far as Chicago, IL, Birmingham, AL, Philadelphia, PA, Nashville, TN, Minneapolis, MN, Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, Richmond, VA, and Charlotte, NC.

Angela has been fortunate to create custom cakes for several celebrities, including “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars, Lisa Wu, NeNe Leakes, and Cynthia Bailey; ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith; recording artists K. Michelle, Jonathan McReynolds, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Darwin Hobbs, and PJ Morton; actress Danielle Brooks; celebrity chef, Chef Dephon; and many others. She has also had her cakes appear on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” (Season 1) and “Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?”

Angela is grateful that her customers allow her the opportunity to share in their special moments. For many families, she has created cakes for all of their occasions such as their bridal shower, wedding, anniversaries, baby showers and every birthday celebration.
